It had obviously rained overnight, but had stopped. We went over for our breakfast, really nicely cooked, and on hot plates!! Its a pet hate of mine hot food on cold plates.
We sat for an hour or so before setting off to East Ruston to see the gardens, they opened at 12 noon. There were quite a few cars in the car park when we got there, parked in a disabled spot and walked in. 30 acres before us. We both had walking sticks and , with a few 'sit downs' we managed to see a lot of it.......a superb garden, so close to the coast, less than a mile away from the sea, full of exotic and common or garden plants we all grow. We worked our way round to the cafe and had a cream tea before raiding the plant area.......such a lot of plants, I was spoilt for choice, we ended up with a white lysimachia, bought for me by DB. I bought him the book of the garden. I wish we had bought it before we went in, however we have time now to read it and relive a really lovely visit. I managed to walk a lot further than I though I would, the pole helped and DB was better with his stick, talk about the blind leading the blind!!
Here are some of the photos I took, I will publish the rest tomorrow.
