We were still,in limbo but no news is good news. Sunday we went into town for carvery lunch at The Harboro, excellent as usual. I am very tired, but what's new!! We took pots for the dump at QD and then dropped off more stuff at the charity shop.
We had a 'light supper' DB had cream cheese and cucumber rolls. I decided to have a mashed banana with demerara sugar and a drop of cream..........
TV was good for a change, Call the Midwife, Antiques Road show and Murder in Paradise, it was time for bed when they finished.
Monday was chew your nails day, nothing from the agents re the bungalow.
Tuesday I had an appointment at the hospital to test my pacemeker, it looks like they will change it late this year, it still has 18 month in the battery, but they aim to do it well before that.
As I was driving home my phone rang, checked when I got home, everything is sorted and after several weeks in suspension we are signing the agreement on 15th......and moving in on 27th. The gap is to give us time to move some stuff over ourselves, nothing heavy, and time to arrange for the TV ariel etc to be sorted. I also want to line the cupboard shelves with paper to keep them clean. I am so releaved, it has been almost 4 weeks of hell!! Perhaps I can sleep better now......... so from now on a great deal of sorting will be going on.
We went to the coffee morning, we broke the news that we are moving at the end of this month. I dropped DB at home and I carried on into Melton to have lunch with my daughter and collect a couple of cases to pack clothes in.
We did not do much Thursday.........I am exhausted after all the goings on.
Friday we had an appointment to get our hearing aids checked, went to Morrison for a small shop and then called at C & C for scrambled eggs on toast and a cuppa.........The tenant was due to move out, the agent told me that she would be going to take a meter reading, we will also take one when we go on Thursday to collect the keys. I cleared up the questions that DB had about the lease.......I also got Plusnet to take over the broadband etc, we saved almost £200 on what we would have had to pay if we had gone with Virgin Media, they are not my favourite people and I said I would never go with them again, after they made us pay a huge fee for finishing the agreement early. It was complicated. After toing and froing for months I paid it, otherwise I would have had a black mark on my prestine credit score. It was very unfair.
Load of laundry put in to wash overnight on cheap electricity, its bed change next week, so more laundry to do on Monday.
SO glad you've gotten the final approval for the bungalow and can get the move underway! It's nice to have the keys ahead of the furniutre moving in. Good, too, that you can pace yourself in packing so you don't make your back angry.
ReplyDeleteWishing you w sweet dreams and restful sleep!
Good you could turf that greedy company that robbed you of that fee money.
Hugs!
