The neighbour we have looked for ever since her husband died 4 years ago has decided that she needs more care and security then she has in her bungalow, so is moving into sheltered accommodation in our local town. To be honest it is a welcome decision. Both her children and us were concerned about her especially after she fell recently. Two of her children live abroad and her youngest son an hour away, so DB and I were the first port of call in an emergency. I also went over most days to check she was ok.
It is sad, we will miss her, but it is the right thing for her to do. She was bothered about no one going to see her, I assured her that only severe illness or death would stop us form going in to see her. I will probably go when DB goes to The Evergreens, she is only just down the road.
Laundry caught up, we went to the farmers market for fresh veg. I have decided that I need to alter my way of shopping, supermarket veg is not good, so in future we will get our veg from the market. I am also going to have a weekly order delivered from either Morrison or Sainsbury.
I still have some bits to put away and the suitcases to slide under the bed. I could do with a valance that goes round the bed and hides whats underneath. Might think about it when we have the room decorated.
So mince and tatties with cabbage and carrots, I have also cooked a crumble from apples that have fallen from the tree and some blackberries.
