Another week begins

We are at the start of our last week in the bungalow here. I was shattered after yesterday, sleep was still bad. I suddenly realised with have tiles on the floor in the bathroom........eekkk wet tiles and DB are not a good thing, however he has the antil slip socks, so he will have to dry his feet and put the anti slip socks on before he leaves the bathroom. I checked the soles of his slippers they are anti slip so thats ok. Phew.

We have spent part of the morning packing up my sewing room and also emptying the store cupboard, Eventually I hope to get a shelf unit in the back bedroom to take some of it.

Pork chops cooked for supper, rasps in jelly for dessert.

Up, showered, breakfast and put in a load of washing in to do whilst we were out.

Off to the bungalow via QD. Did not get all I wanted. Finished hanging up most of the clothes in the wardrobes. I carried on lining shelves and unpacked the contents of our stock up cupboard, I poured vical down the toilet to try and clear the limescale. We have very hard water and limescale is a problem.

Did nothing when we got home, supper egg and chips and finished off the jelly.

Tuesday turned out to be an interesting day. Colin came to pick up the slabs as we were having breakfast. Emails to let me know there were two deliveries, one was the rotary clothes dryer for the garden, the other sharpies to mark boxes.

Just as we wre going to have lunch Steve turned up to take the freezer over, so I left DB to sort himself out and went over to put more stuff in the house cupboards and roll up the garage door. Raced home in time for DB to go for his sieata. I made myself two rounds of toast and pork dripping, yummy!!

Wonderful English weather, we woke up to rain siling down, good job we were not moving today.

Curtain pole for the living room was due for delivery, it was our last coffee morning,  we were going on to the bungalow, so left a note on the door to deliver it next door N was going to be in all day. We got an email with permission to install a dish washer.......hooray....... I have to order it for delivery next week and M will come and plumb it in for us. I am hoping he will also put the battern up so we can mount the curtain rail in the bedroom. We will have to do without curtains for a couple of weeks whilst they are made, both windows are very deep, the bungalow was built in the 60's when the fashion was for large windows.

The cleaner is sorted, 11th March she starts. We stayed on till 4pm, no gardener, so I will have to put a card in the local shop.

D kindly came round and took down the lantern, so at least sell it now.

Coffee morning was quite emotional, B thanked us for our support during the 9 years we have been here. I pointed out that he too had been there for us. The cake went down very well. B had an accident whilst down in Devon, he managed to badly damage 3 fingers, he has a metal pin in one finger.

So, Thursday ended with DB having a vertigo attack, I laid the law down and Friday we stayed at home. We have had several bad nights, drinking tea at heavens know what time.

I did manage to pack some more stuff and stick labels on the boxes. At least things will end up in the right place. No more packing, tomorrow we take a few more boxes and empty the kitchen freezer and put in the garage freezer. I need a quick trip to Boyes for some bits on the way back tomorrow, home on Sunday and then a couple of days of chaos!!!
