Bright sun but still very brrr first thing and after about 3pm. Our old neighbours son came and collected his tomato's and also took some rhubarb. He was very complementary about the garden, especially the very deep red tulips in one of the containers. We have cabbage ready as well, last year I bought a large net tunnel, the cabbage have been under it and thankfully no butterflies have meant we have no damage on them.
We bought plants at the nursery yesterday morning, including sweet peas, DB got summer leeks and some mixed lettuce. Mine were bedding plants for the pots, they will be in the green house for at least another 6 weeks, till the chance of a frost has passed.
I need to prep the veg for supper, roast pork with veggies, If I can I want to spend a bit of time outside sorting through the pots and seeing what can go. I plan to photograph the pots and offer them as a job lot for free, there are several plastic urns as well which can go. I am mostly using either stone or very large plastic tubs.
Its almost time for tiffin, so better go and put the kettle on.
