yesterday was a busy day one way or another. In the morning we sorted out what was to be done when the gardener arrived after lunch.
I ended up in the garden for most of the afternoon, we decided to move the water feature nearer to the house, so it is not in bright sun for so long, T used the piece of turf he dug out to mend the hole where the big pot had been. I was not sure if the pump would still work, but it did.
Various suff was cut back including the winter clematis that thinks it should flower all year round. Some of the clematis at the top of the garden are very slow to show growth, we had a frost and it seems to have stopped them growing. Will wait a few weeks and see what happens, they need feeding.
I picked some rhubarb which I cooked gently in the oven, we had it with a drop of cream as dessert, it was quite sweet. I will pick some more to take to the coffee morning on Wednesday.
We were late up this morning, I did not sleep too well, not really slept properly since we went to Sheffield, it is taking me time to get back into our usual routine. A delivery of netting for the greenhouse got me out of bed eventually.
I have defrosted the turkey crown I bought before Christmas, I am coung to cook it this morning, it will slice better cold. We will have some for supper tomorrow and then I will slice it up and put whats left in the freezer, it will do several meals.
Tonights supper is ADB, I will have to use tinned tomato's, the frsh ones are too small to use.
